Roles & Responsibilities

Position

Rope access Welder

Experience:

3-5 years

Qualifications

Certification: Must possess a valid welding certificate from a recognized body (e.g., AWS, ASME Section IX, CSWIP, or equivalent).

proven hands-on experience in SMAW and GTAW welding in an industrial setting (oil & gas, construction, or fabrication preferred).

IRATA Certification: Must hold a valid IRATA Level 1, or Level 2, certificate. Certification must be current and in good standing. Rope access logbook must be available for verification of experience hours.

Technical Skill: Demonstrated ability to weld in all positions (1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, 6G as applicable)

Perform welding operations using SMAW (Stick) and GTAW (TIG) processes on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other materials.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding procedure specifications (WPS).

Weld components in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.

Conduct visual inspection of welds and perform grinding, cutting, and fitting as required.
