Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities


  • Oversee lifting operations on-site, ensuring they are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies, local laws, and international standards.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure lifting operations are conducted in full compliance with health and safety regulations, including conducting risk assessments and implementing control measures to prevent accidents or incidents.
  • Equipment Management: Monitor the condition and maintenance of lifting equipment (e.g., cranes, hoists, slings, etc.), ensuring all machinery is fit for use, properly inspected, and serviced according to schedules.
  • Team Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of riggers, crane operators, and other lifting personnel. Provide training and guidance on lifting procedures, safety protocols, and the proper use of equipment.
  • Lift Plans and Procedures: Develop, review, and implement detailed lifting plans, including the assessment of load weights, equipment requirements, and rigging configurations. Ensure all plans are approved before execution.
  • On-Site Coordination: Coordinate lifting operations with other construction activities to minimize disruptions and ensure timely project delivery. Liaise with site managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth and efficient lifting operations.
  • Incident Reporting and Investigation: Document any lifting incidents or near-misses, conducting investigations as necessary. Develop corrective actions and ensure that safety protocols are revised accordingly.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure that all required lifting documentation (inspection records, permits, and licenses) are completed and maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting and Communication: Provide regular reports to the project manager on the status of lifting operations, highlighting any concerns, risks, or delays. Maintain clear and effective communication with the site team and stakeholders.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • ADNOC approval / Experience as Lifting Supervisor
  • A valid UAE driver’s license is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in lifting supervision in the construction industry.
  • Extensive experience with cranes, hoisting equipment, rigging, and lifting techniques.
  • Familiarity with the Dubai and UAE safety regulations related to lifting operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of lifting equipment, rigging techniques, and lifting procedures.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations, risk assessment processes, and compliance.
