Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and execute critical and complex lifts in oil & gas facilities (offshore platforms, refineries, petrochemical plants, pipeline projects).
  • Review and follow engineered lift plans and method statements for high-risk lifts.
  • Inspect, select, and properly set up rigging equipment (slings, shackles, spreader bars, blocks, lifting beams).
  • Calculate load weights, sling angles, and center of gravity to ensure safe rigging configuration.
  • Direct crane operators using standard hand signals and radio communication.
  • Supervise rigging crews, ensuring compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) systems and company safety policies.
  • Conduct Toolbox Talks and pre-lift safety briefings before operations.
  • Identify and mitigate hazards related to lifting in hazardous areas, confined spaces, and at height.
  • Maintain inspection records and certification documents for all rigging gear.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco GI-7.028, LOLER, OSHA, and LEEA safety standards.
