A Rigger is responsible for the safe and efficient setup, alignment, and movement of heavy loads using cranes, hoists, winches, and rigging gear. Riggers ensure all lifting operations are carried out in compliance with safety standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Select and inspect rigging equipment such as slings, shackles, chains, and hooks.
Prepare loads for lifting, ensuring correct weight distribution and balance.
Secure and attach lifting gear to loads using appropriate rigging techniques.
Signal and guide crane operators or lifting equipment during lifts.
Inspect rigging gear for defects and wear; report or replace damaged equipment.
Follow detailed lift plans and comply with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
Work closely with crane operators, engineers, and safety officers to execute lifts safely.
Assist in positioning, installation, or removal of heavy components or structures.
Maintain daily rigging logs and assist in documentation of lifting activities.
Operate rigging-related equipment such as winches, pulleys, and chain blocks if needed.
