Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Sales Consultant – New Cars is responsible for actively promoting and selling departmental products, including vehicles, accessories, warranties, finance, and insurance solutions, while achieving defined sales targets. The role also ensures delivery of the Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) commitment set by management.


  • Follow the complete sales process, including prospecting, meeting and greeting, consultation, presentation, demonstration, negotiation, gaining commitment, closure, delivery, and post-sales follow-up.
  • Ensure all sales documentation complies with company policy.
  • Collaborate with other departments to complete the sales process effectively.
  • Report daily activities to the Sales Supervisor/Manager.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets while maximising profit per transaction.
  • Maintain and expand the existing customer base through effective follow-up and relationship building.
  • Assist customers with finance, insurance, accessories, and GAP insurance options based on their needs.
  • Produce productive sales-related videos for customers to achieve Venta Vid targets.
  • Ensure performance targets are met for internal and external Mystery Shopping programmes.
  • Generate customer leads and appointments through telephone, web, CRM, and social media platforms.
  • Participate in sales meetings and contribute to achieving all KPIs set by management.
  • Provide excellent customer service to achieve SSI (Sales Satisfaction Index) targets.
  • Accurately collect and submit customer details.
  • Deliver sold vehicles smoothly, clean, and defect-free as promised to customers.
  • Schedule follow-ups, manage deliveries, and support new customer acquisition using effective time management.
  • Provide a personalised and tailored sales experience to each customer, fostering loyalty and repeat business.
  • Build, develop, and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Carry out any other related tasks as required.

Desired Candidate Profile


Qualifications

  • Diploma or equivalent in a related field
  • 2–3 years’ sales experience in the automobile or related industry
  • Computer proficiency with good communication skills
