Job Description:

Job Summary:The Retail Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing financial performance, forecasting future trends, and providing insights to support strategic decisions in the retail business. This role works closely with merchandising, marketing, and operations teams to optimize sales, profitability, and inventory efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:-
Analyze financial data, sales trends, and performance metrics across various retail channels.

Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.

Track key performance indicators (KPIs) including sales, gross margin, inventory turnover, and customer behavior.

Prepare weekly/monthly financial reports and present findings to management.

Conduct variance analysis to identify key drivers of performance against budget and forecast.

Partner with merchandising and operations teams to evaluate promotions, pricing strategies, and product performance.

Support store expansion and capital investment decisions with financial analysis and ROI assessments.

Assist in the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.

Monitor inventory levels and analyze the financial impact of stockouts and overstock situations.

Recommend cost-saving opportunities and revenue-enhancing initiatives based on data insights.

Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Masters or MBA is a plus).

2+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a retail or consumer goods environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Understanding of retail operations, including merchandising, pricing, and inventory management.

Experience with POS (Point of Sale) data analysis and customer behavior metrics.

Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
