Roles & Responsibilities

Position Objective

  • The Project Control Reporting and Scheduling Specialist will drive the development and delivery of advanced reporting and scheduling solutions for fiber rollout projects within a leading telecommunications company. This role focuses on leveraging expertise in data analytics, Power BI, and scheduling tools to provide actionable insights, ensure accurate project tracking, and support strategic decision-making.


Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced project reports and dashboards using Power BI to track project performance, costs, and schedules.
  • Create and manage detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with project milestones and critical paths using scheduling tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Analyse project data to identify trends, variances, and potential risks, providing clear and concise reports to project managers and senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project control teams to gather and validate data, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting.
  • Develop automated reporting processes to enhance efficiency and provide real-time insights into project progress.
  • Support the preparation of executive-level presentations, summarising key performance indicators, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal governance policies in all reporting and scheduling activities.
  • Provide training and support to project teams on the use of reporting tools and the interpretation of data outputs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project control processes, focusing on data-driven decision-making.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project controls, reporting, or scheduling, with at least 3 years in telecommunications, preferably in fiber optic rollout projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, data modelling, and creating interactive dashboards.
  • Expertise in scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent software.
  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure and project management methodologies.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting data-driven reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple reporting and scheduling tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience with process automation and integration of project control tools is a plus.
  • Certification in Power BI, PMP, or scheduling (e.g., PMI-SP) is highly desirable.
