A Renovation Supervisor plays a pivotal role in the construction and remodeling industry, managing and overseeing renovation projects to ensure they meet client specifications, stay within budget, and are completed on schedule. The role demands extensive knowledge in construction, project management, and team leadership. The Renovation Supervisor coordinates various construction activities, supervises a diverse team of contractors and laborers, and liaises with architects, engineers, and clients to achieve the desired renovation outcome. Additionally, they must ensure all projects adhere to safety regulations and building codes. An effective Renovation Supervisor is analytical, proactive in problem-solving, and excels in communication, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned throughout the renovation process.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations at the renovation site and ensure project timelines are met.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and designers to interpret project blueprints and specifications.
• Manage and supervise a team of contractors, tradespeople, and laborers for optimal project execution.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with local building codes and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any emerging issues.
• Control project budgets, approving expenditures, and minimizing unnecessary costs.
• Facilitate communication between project stakeholders to align on renovation goals and timelines.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractor activities to prevent delays in the project timeline.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure the workmanship meets required standards.
• Prepare and present progress reports and updates to clients and senior management.
• Resolve onsite conflicts promptly to maintain a harmonious working environment.
• Ensure the procurement and delivery of materials are in alignment with project needs.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction or renovation supervision with strong project management skills.
• Understanding of construction procedures, material selection, and state building codes.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse construction crew.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaison with stakeholders effectively.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple renovation projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in using construction management and scheduling software tools.
• Certification or a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
