Missions
Manage and implement the reliability framework in accordance with standards and requirements.
Manage the Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) and maintain up-to-date information for analysis.
Conduct root cause studies and analyses to identify causes of failures and recommend solutions.
Analyze shift, weekly and monthly reports to eliminate repetitive failures and develop engineering solutions.
Manage the predictive maintenance (PdM) program, consolidating inspection information and generating a visualization of the results.
Maintain PdM tools and devices in good condition and their calibration, and perform functional tests regularly.
Coordinate and support the implementation of correct preventive maintenance (PM) tasks.
Develop and monitor periodic reviews of risk matrices for all sections of engineering services.
Use data analysis techniques such as statistical analysis, reliability, availability, maintainability, fault tree analysis, etc.
Communicate safety alerts and risks reported by manufacturers to staff.
Define and implement policies, processes and tools to ensure continuous improvement of equipment reliability.
Estimate engineering personnel needs, coordinate and supervise the use of other engineers and technicians.
Evaluate criticality assessments, equipment strategies, and risk assessments to ensure consistency and compliance with company procedures and policies.
Update equipment criticality analysis as needed for expansion.
Provide technical support and reliability input into Preventive Maintenance Optimization (PMO).
Assemble and distribute information on equipment status and reliability performance.
Communicate reliability issues through local team meetings and bulletin boards.
Participate in the reliability community of practice through regular conference calls with peers and global reliability engineering.
Profile
Engineering degree (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering) or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in equipment reliability, failure analysis and solutions.
Extensive experience in the following techniques and strategies: reliability centered maintenance (RCM), statistical analysis techniques, criticality analysis and benchmarking.
Experience conducting root cause analyses. Familiarity with multiple root cause analysis methods; selection of the appropriate tool for the event; 5 Whys, Ishikawa, Fault Tree, PROACT.
Extensive knowledge of condition monitoring techniques including vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis and ultrasound.
Extensive knowledge and experience of the port industry.
The candidate must possess effective analytical problem-solving skills, the ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy, and be able to learn and work with reliability-specific software tools.
Experience in interpreting and applying industry standards (ISO, BSI, ASME, etc.)
Ability to communicate and make formal presentations in English.
Certifications such as Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) are preferred.
