Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the staff and operations of the Office of the Registrar.
  • Supervise the registration of continuing and incoming UG students, the transfer of credits, and degree evaluations.
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of UG academic records for current and former students and facilitate an effective student registration process.
  • Partner with Admissions and Academic Advising to facilitate an efficient and timely process for moving newly accepted UG students to registered status.
  • Manage efficient transcript evaluation and processing.
  • Develop and maintain the degree audit system and certify UG students for graduation/clearance.
  • Maintain up-to-date course schedules, catalogs, and final examination schedules.
  • Liaise with the scheduling supervisor to manage the efficient use of classrooms.
  • Interpret and enforce the academic policies and regulations of the University.
  • Stay abreast of operational and reporting trends, regulations, and technology solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Registrar's office.
  • Serve as one of the officials responsible for the Ministry of Higher Education compliance for the University.
  • Generate UG student reports requested by the Ministry of Higher Education.
  • Assist in the planning and management of the annual budget for the Registrar s Office.
  • Perform any additional new tasks assigned by management that are within the same specialty and nature of daily work.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • +10 years of experience in the same field and minimum of 3-5 years of managerial experience as a registrar or closely related enrollment.
  • Strong Organizational skills.
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Team player

The Undergraduate Registrar Manager plays a critical role in both University and academic operations by effectively managing the maintenance and integrity of all undergraduate students academic records, the approved curricula, the creation and maintenance of course schedules, all areas of student registration, and the recording and reporting of grades. The role also ensures compliance with local regulations and establishes and maintains processes for the equitable and consistent administration of policies and procedures related to registration and academic record-keeping. The University Registrar must provide strong leadership that aligns with the academic goals and mission of Nile University.
