Job s Overview

World of Controls (WOC) located in The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is seeking experienced Regional Sales Managers for the APAC region and the UK and Europe. The positions are located in Malaysia and either the UK or Europe.

WOC is one of the industry s premier Global Supply companies for Genuine OEM GE SpeedTronic and GE Excitation controls. We also support Micronet, Netcon, Woodward and Bently Nevada. We are an ISO 9001-2008 Certified Company, and, an Approved Supply Vendor to turbine End-Users as well as O&M Companies Globally.


Job Description

These positions are primarily responsible for selling company products and services to the Power Generation, Oil & Gas and Petrochemical sectors.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Key duties and responsibilities include the following; however, other duties may be assigned.

  • Participate in the business development process to secure new business for WOC
  • Build and maintain relationships with target and existing customer decision makers/key management to maximize the sales and gross profit opportunities through routine calls and visits.
  • Sales penetration relative to WOC products & services
  • Eliciting feedback on service levels
  • Collecting competitive intelligence at plant and/or customer facility level
  • Enter new customer data and other sales related data for potential and current customers WOC data base.
  • Manage all e-bid and on-line sales opportunities.
  • Be available by phone after regular business hours to meet critical company and customer requirements.
  • Manage commission-based sales representatives in the region.
  • Collect relevant configuration data on plants part numbers, control systems, etc.
  • Submit quotes in response to customer requests and manage the quote/ customer capture process.
  • Ensure that customer purchase orders are handled efficiently by the customer service & purchasing team.
  • Support the company s growth strategy by aiding in the identification of new products and services to facilitate the future growth of WOC within its target markets.
  • Travel approximately 50% of the time for customer visits and attend trade shows as requested.
  • Skilled in collating data and information to facilitate product analysis to determine:
  • Market pricing
  • Inventory levels
  • Product availability
  • Historical customer pricing
  • OEM list pricing

  • QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    The candidate should have 3-5 years of industrial sales experience calling on end users (preferably in the electric power, oil & gas and/or petrochemical sectors) Education in engineering, or, technical school or, other technical background a plus.


    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Ability to write routine reports and correspondences; ability to speak effectively with customers and employees of organization.

    The Malaysian APAC region candidate having the ability to speak other regional dialects, a big plus. The applicant for the UK and Europe region has a mandatory ability to speak and write English. Additionally, having European Multilingual abilities a big plus.
