Job Description

As a Radiology Technician, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare team by providing high-quality imaging services to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. You will work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and accurate imaging results. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate sophisticated imaging equipment effectively. You will ensure compliance with safety standards and provide compassionate care to patients undergoing diagnostic imaging procedures. Your expertise in operating radiologic technology and understanding anatomical structures will contribute significantly to the overall patient care process.


Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic imaging examinations using radiologic technology ensuring high-quality results.
  • Position patients accurately to ensure clear and precise imaging outcomes.
  • Maintain radiology equipment, ensuring its functionality and safety at all times.
  • Prepare examination rooms ensuring cleanliness and readiness for patients.
  • Ensure patient safety by applying protective measures against excessive radiation exposure.
  • Collaborate with physicians to interpret imaging results and provide diagnostic assistance.
  • Input patient data and imaging results accurately into the healthcare database system.
  • Educate patients about procedures, answering any questions to ease concerns or anxiety.
  • Adhere to all regulatory standards and guidelines for radiologic procedures and patient care.
  • Track and manage radiology inventory, ordering supplies as needed to ensure availability.
  • Assist in quality assurance activities to continuously improve imaging services offered.
  • Stay updated with continuing education and advancements in radiology technology and techniques.

Requirements
  • Associate's degree or higher in Radiologic Technology from an accredited institution.
  • Proven experience as a Radiologic Technician or similar role in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of radiologic concepts, anatomy, and imaging practices.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, healthcare staff, and families.
  • Ability to handle and comfort patients, especially in stressful situations or conditions.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and how to implement them effectively.
  • Proficient in using radiologic equipment and related software for patient management.
  • Detail-oriented mindset for accurately performing imaging procedures and documentation.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including possible evenings, nights, or weekends.
