Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the formulation and testing of innovative detergent products, ensuring superior cleaning performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Conduct in-depth research on raw materials, surfactants, and additives to optimize product efficacy and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead and execute laboratory experiments, analyze data, and generate detailed reports to drive product development and improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve formulation issues, ensuring product stability, shelf life, and compatibility with various washing machine types.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and manufacturing, to translate market needs into successful product launches.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Develop and validate analytical methods for quality control and performance evaluation of detergent products.
  • Manage and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Prepare and present technical data and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Contribute to the development of intellectual property through patent applications and publications.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Exhibits a strong understanding of surfactant chemistry, cleaning mechanisms, and the interaction of detergents with various fabrics and surfaces.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of experience in detergent formulation and product development within the consumer goods industry.
  • Has experience with various analytical techniques such as GC, HPLC, and spectroscopy, and their application in detergent analysis.
  • Proficient in using formulation software and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
  • Demonstrates a proven ability to develop and launch successful detergent products.
  • Exhibits excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a results-oriented approach.
  • Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and safety standards related to detergent products.
  • Exhibits a proactive and innovative mindset, with a passion for developing cutting-edge detergent technologies.
