Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Process Optimization:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of operational processes to identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize costs.
- Data Analysis:
- Collect and analyze performance data using statistical tools to evaluate process improvements.
- Create visual reports (e.g., dashboards, charts) to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Lean Application:
- Apply Lean principles to reduce non-value-added activities and improve workflow.
- Training and Mentorship:
- Provide hands-on training to employees on new tools, technologies, and processes.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring team members.
- Root Cause Analysis:
- Investigate recurring problems, identify root causes, and develop long-term corrective actions.
- Standardization:
- Develop and maintain standardized work instructions, process documentation, and policies to sustain improvements.
- Collaborative Efforts:
- Work closely with stakeholders such as production teams, quality control, supply chain, and senior management to ensure seamless implementation of solutions.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or similar fields) is often required.
- Advanced certifications in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) are highly desirable.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Knowledge of process simulation software, data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Tableau), and ERP systems.
- Familiarity with industry-specific technologies and standards.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills to present findings and recommendations effectively.
- Leadership qualities to guide cross-functional teams and drive cultural change.
- Problem-solving abilities with a focus on critical thinking and creativity.
- Tools:
- examples like Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, 5 Whys and Fish bone to strengthen technical grounding diagnosis.
- Metrics Expanded:
- Expanded KPI examples include lead-time, first-pass yield, and employee engagement.
- Experience:
- Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proven track record of leading successful process improvement initiatives.
