Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Process Optimization:
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of operational processes to identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize costs.
  2. Data Analysis:
    • Collect and analyze performance data using statistical tools to evaluate process improvements.
    • Create visual reports (e.g., dashboards, charts) to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  3. Lean Application:
    • Apply Lean principles to reduce non-value-added activities and improve workflow.
  4. Training and Mentorship:
    • Provide hands-on training to employees on new tools, technologies, and processes.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring team members.
  5. Root Cause Analysis:
    • Investigate recurring problems, identify root causes, and develop long-term corrective actions.
  6. Standardization:
    • Develop and maintain standardized work instructions, process documentation, and policies to sustain improvements.
  7. Collaborative Efforts:
    • Work closely with stakeholders such as production teams, quality control, supply chain, and senior management to ensure seamless implementation of solutions.

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Educational Background:
    • Bachelor s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or similar fields) is often required.
    • Advanced certifications in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) are highly desirable.
  2. Technical Proficiency:
    • Knowledge of process simulation software, data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Tableau), and ERP systems.
    • Familiarity with industry-specific technologies and standards.
  3. Soft Skills:
    • Strong communication skills to present findings and recommendations effectively.
    • Leadership qualities to guide cross-functional teams and drive cultural change.
    • Problem-solving abilities with a focus on critical thinking and creativity.
  4. Tools:
    • examples like Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, 5 Whys and Fish bone to strengthen technical grounding diagnosis.
  5. Metrics Expanded:
    • Expanded KPI examples include lead-time, first-pass yield, and employee engagement.
  6. Experience:
    • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
    • Proven track record of leading successful process improvement initiatives.
