Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

This is a full-time on-site role for an R&D Engineer at Arab Mechanical Engineers "AME" located in Nasr City. The R&D Engineer will be responsible for conducting research and development, testing, product development, and utilizing analytical skills to improve and innovate solutions for wide range of steel products and systems including Racking systems, Supermarkets & shop fittings solutions, and scaffolding & formwork systems.

  • Suggest new product ideas based on market studies in full coordination with sales & marketing teams.
  • Create designs for new products.
  • Prepare complete shop drawings to manufacture products.
  • Preparing the BOM and guidance sheets for new products.
  • Following up the new products samples.
  • Product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Study the accessories involved in manufacturing products.
  • Make visits to Factory, sites, ..etc.
  • Technical support in purchasing accessories and visiting suppliers.
  • Study and Recommend new equipment when needed for manufacturing processes development.
  • Technical coordination and assistance with technical office and related departments through all new projects/products processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Applied Arts.
  • Min. Experience 2-3 years as R&D Engineer in industrial / Manufacturing field.
  • Strong educational & practical background of Steel products (preferred in Racking systems, and/or Scaffolding and formwork systems, and/or Supermarkets & shop fittings solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of technical design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in conducting research and testing.
  • Proficient user of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Office.
  • Product Development & skills.
  • Creativity & Innovation.
  • Analytical Skills for problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team.
  • Time Management & working under pressure skills.
