Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our Project Management team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects, ensuring value for money while adhering to quality standards and timelines. A strong understanding of construction technology, contracts, and IT-based project management tools Unifier, P6 etc.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bill of quantities (BOQ) for construction projects
· Monitor project expenditures and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
· Evaluate and process change orders, variations, and claims in coordination with stakeholders.
· Collaborate with the IT consulting division to ensure project data is integrated with software solutions like Primavera, MS Project, or ERP systems.
· Manage procurement, contracts, and tender documentation.
· Conduct value engineering and cost-benefit analysis.
· Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure alignment on project costs and delivery.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards, legal and regulatory requirements.
· Prepare periodic cost reports, financial forecasts, and risk assessments.
· Participate in project planning and review meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
Desired Candidate Profile
· Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
· Professional certification such as MRICS, RICS, or equivalent is preferred.
· 3–7 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction or infrastructure sector.
· Knowledge of construction contracts(e.g., FIDIC, JCT) and contract law
· Familiarity with project management tools/systems like Oracle Primavera P6 and Oracle Primavera Unifier etc.).
· Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
· Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and QS software tools (like Candy, CostX)
· Proficiency in Arabic Language is a must
Preferred:
· Experience working in consulting or project advisory roles.
· Exposure to digital project management platforms and BIM integration.
