Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and manage cost estimates for all stages of construction projects, from initial design to final completion.

  • Conduct detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare tender documents, including bills of quantities, specifications, and contract terms.
  • Evaluate and analyze contractor bids and make recommendations for award.
  • Administer construction contracts, including variations, valuations, and payment applications.
  • Monitor project costs against budget and report on cost performance.
  • Identify and mitigate potential cost risks.
  • Prepare cost reports and forecasts for management review.
  • Negotiate with contractors and subcontractors on cost-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate cost records and documentation.
  • Value completed work and prepare payment certificates.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a minimum of 7 years specifically in Dubai.
  • Proven experience working on high-rise architectural projects is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and legal regulations.
  • Excellent quantity take-off and cost estimating skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., CostX, AutoCAD, MS Office Suite).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently 1 and as part of a team.
