Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for electromechanical and infrastructure projects.
- Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and provide regular cost reports to project managers and stakeholders.
- Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with project specifications.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress, verify quantities, and ensure alignment with contract requirements.
- Manage change orders, variations, and claims, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to optimize project delivery and cost control.
- Review and validate contractor invoices and payment applications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contractual terms.
- Assist in the preparation and review of contracts, ensuring all commercial and technical aspects are addressed.
- Identify potential risks related to cost, contracts, or project scope and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all quantity surveying activities and support project close-out processes.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in Infrastructure is a must.
- 2 to 5 years of proven experience in quantity surveying within the Construction and Infrastructure industry.
- Strong knowledge of electromechanical and infrastructure project requirements.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of construction contracts, tendering, and procurement processes.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
