Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for electromechanical and infrastructure projects.
  • Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and provide regular cost reports to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with project specifications.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress, verify quantities, and ensure alignment with contract requirements.
  • Manage change orders, variations, and claims, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to optimize project delivery and cost control.
  • Review and validate contractor invoices and payment applications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contractual terms.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of contracts, ensuring all commercial and technical aspects are addressed.
  • Identify potential risks related to cost, contracts, or project scope and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all quantity surveying activities and support project close-out processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in Infrastructure is a must.
  • 2 to 5 years of proven experience in quantity surveying within the Construction and Infrastructure industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electromechanical and infrastructure project requirements.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of construction contracts, tendering, and procurement processes.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
