Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for Quality Lead to join our team in Doha, Qatar.
The Portfolio Quality Lead is responsible for implementing the Contract Quality Program and Quality Plan on the project
This is a long-term assignment based in Qatar.
BSc. University in relevant engineering discipline (mechanical, welding, material, process etc.)
Minimum 15 years' experience in Oil and Gas Industry
Minimum 10 years' experience in Brown Field Oil and Gas related project delivery
Minimum 5 years' experience in Brown Field Oil and Gas Project Delivery as a Umbrella Contract Quality Lead
Flawless Project Delivery Experience
Experience with interfacing with other disciplines, i.e. electrical, process, rotating mechanical, civil, static mechanical and technical
- The Project Quality Lead is responsible for development of the Quality Program and accountable for the independent surveillance and audit of the project for compliance with procedures and requirements, as well as the documentation of compliance and corrective actions. The Project Quality Lead performs these activities independent of the design/project/construction group responsible for the work.
- The Project Quality Lead works closely with the Portfolio Delivery Manager and advises him of the status of quality-related activities.
- The Project Quality Lead assists the Portfolio Delivery Manager in the maintenance and updating of the Contract Project Quality Plan and other quality related project documents. As directed by the Portfolio Delivery Manager, the Project Quality Lead will perform other quality related audits and surveys.
- Responsible for Quality Management System compliance and system improvement activities
- Support Goal Zero No Defect objectives and participate in HSE and Quality activities as defined in the CONTRACT HSE Plan and Quality Plan.
- Accountable for Project quality plan implementation
- Accountable for the overall company MRF process for projects,
- Establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system.
- Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system such as fishbone, Root cause analysis, Five Why, also good tools
- Development of project specific Project Quality Plans for the new projects in the QPH based on associated risk and activities.
- Interface with Engineering and Procurement team to ensure specific quality requirements are incorporated in all relevant documents, approved by relevant authorities, and transferred to manufactures and implementation contractor Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
- Accountable for the overall performance of the audit program, and oversight on quality engineers responsible for the audit program.
- Responsible for Analyse failure, and accountable for corrective and preventive action and to respond to company on identified non-conformities, failures, and complaints Manage quality, business, and engineering documentation, for the CONTRACTOR organization
- Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the overall activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions.
- Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
- Responsible for Manage and report suppliers /contractor performance and make recommendations for improvements through the entire supply chain process
- Develop processes and procedures that enhance or assure quality, align with the business strategy, and project objectives
- Support implementation of DCAF for recognised disciplines and support TA assignment
- Support departmental and project specific risk management through identification of risks, implementation of mitigation plans.
- Support implementation fit for purpose PCAP development on individual projects.
- Accountable for Project KPI, leading and lagging indicator identification, relevant to the portfolio as well as individual projects.
- Accountable for MRF procedure preparation and implementation of MRF process.
- Accountable for Quality resource planning and coordinate for on time deployment.
- Accountable for coordination and implementation of all inspections at manufacturer facility, including implementation of Remote Inspection. Responsible for Third Party Inspection management.
- Quality Lead shall be accountable for establishment of MRF process
- Quality Lead shall be responsible for ensuring product NCR (Non-Conformance Reporting) and Observations are updated in company SQI
- Quality Lead shall be responsible for compliance of Material Certification requirements.
- Quality Lead shall be responsible for ensuring vendor document deliverable requirements and vendor document schedule are complying project requirements.
- Quality Lead shall ensure vendor inspection and release process are complying to project requirement and shall manage the completion of material release.
- Quality Lead shall be responsible to ensure management of Documented information and Records are maintained, retrained and retrieved in accordance with contract, company, and regulatory requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile
BSc. University in relevant engineering discipline (mechanical, welding, material, process etc.)
Minimum 15 years' experience in Oil and Gas Industry
