Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose

The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for establishing, implementing, and supervising the quality management system across all production stages in the paints manufacturing process from raw material receiving to finished goods release. The role ensures compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and safety regulations while driving continuous improvement in processes, systems, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and maintain QC policies, standards, and documentation for paints manufacturing.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, certifications, and customer specifications.

- Oversee quality control methods in the production of paints and coatings.

- Monitor and manage complaints, non-conformances, CAPA, and root cause analysis.

- Define and monitor KPIs and quality targets on daily, weekly, and monthly bases.

- Analyze customer requirements and market complaints, benchmark with competitors, and recommend corrective actions.

- Supervise QC team and ensure proper inspection/testing practices.

- Provide ongoing training, coaching, and performance evaluations.

- Ensure correct usage and calibration of laboratory devices used in paint quality testing (viscosity, gloss, color measurement, density, adhesion, etc.).

- Monitor trial protocols for new formulations, batches, and SKUs.

- Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities from raw material to finished products.

- Recommend and implement cost-effective methods for quality assurance and waste reduction.

- Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with raw material quality standards.

- Oversee acceptance and rejection procedures, including returns and corrective follow-up.

- Ensure occupational health and safety standards are followed in QC practices.

- Maintain compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Bachelor s degree in Chemical Engineering, Paints & Polymers, or related field.

- Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Control within the paints manufacturing industry.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Planning and project management abilities.

- Good command of English (reading, writing, and speaking).

- Preferably based in 6th of October City.
