Roles & Responsibilities
The Quality Control Manager is a crucial role within the manufacturing and production industry, tasked with ensuring that products meet established quality standards. This role involves overseeing all QC activities, implementing quality control processes, and leading a team of quality control professionals. As a Quality Control Manager, you will work closely with production teams to identify quality issues and provide solutions to improve processes. You'll also ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively to drive quality improvement across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures across all production stages.
- Supervise and lead a team of quality control professionals, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Conduct regular quality assessments and audits to maintain product quality standards.
- Analyze quality data and collaborate with production teams to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, federal regulations, and industry standards.
- Provide training and support to staff on quality standards and procedures.
- Liaise with suppliers and external partners to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics, presenting findings to senior management.
- Implement corrective actions and monitor their effectiveness in addressing quality issues.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in quality control methodologies.
- Manage quality-related communication and issue resolution with internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of testing equipment to ensure accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of quality control processes, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing a diverse team of professionals.
- Proficiency in using quality management software and statistical analysis tools.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills for identifying quality issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with various stakeholders.
- Certifications in quality management, such as Six Sigma or ISO, are preferred.
