Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) that detail the quantities and descriptions of materials, labor, and other resources required for joinery projects.
  • Develop and submit Bills of Materials (BOM), listing all required materials, including descriptions, quantities, sizes, and other relevant details to procurement.
  • Conduct Quantity Takeoffs (QTO) from project drawings and specifications to accurately measure quantities of materials and labor.
  • Develop and manage Payment Certificates (PC), which are formal documents issued to subcontractors detailing the work completed and the amount due for payment.
  • Process and evaluate Variation Orders (VO), assessing any changes to the project scope and adjusting cost estimates and budgets as necessary.
  • Review project documentation, including architectural plans and specifications, to ensure that all cost estimates are accurate and comprehensive.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to gather cost information and ensure competitive pricing.
  • Assist in the preparation of tenders and bids, ensuring all cost aspects are covered accurately.
  • Conduct site visits as needed to validate estimation data and gather additional information.
  • Prepare and present cost reports and estimates to the project management team for approval.
  • Monitor project costs throughout the project lifecycle, adjusting as required to adhere to the budget.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in UAE joinery
  • Must have Bachelor’s Degree.
