QC Engineer United Electrical Transformers Company Limited

1. Inspection & Testing

• Perform in-process and final inspection of MV/LV switchgear, control panels, RMUs, and substation assemblies.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) as per IEC/SASO standards and customer specifications.
• Verify electrical functionality of components: circuit breakers, relays, CTs, PTs, and busbars.

2. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare inspection reports, test records, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Maintain traceability of materials and components used in assemblies.
• Document and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

3. Compliance & Quality Standards

• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
• Participate in internal and external audits; support compliance to regulatory and customer requirements.
• Review engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications before inspections.

4. Problem Solving & Improvement

• Analyze quality issues and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using tools like 5 Whys or Fishbone Diagram.
• Recommend and implement quality improvement measures in collaboration with Production and Engineering teams.

5. Team Collaboration

• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and HSE teams to ensure smooth quality control processes.
• Provide training or guidance to junior inspectors or production teams on quality practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in quality control of MV/LV switchgear, substation panels, or electrical assemblies.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of IEC/ANSI/SASO electrical standards.
• Proficiency in using testing instruments (megger, hi-pot, multimeter, etc.).
• Familiarity with SAP systems and QMS documentation.
• Strong communication, analytical, and reporting skills.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to work on-site in Al-Kharj.
• Transferable Iqama preferred.
• Arabic language is a plus but not mandatory.
