Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive QA/QC programs aligned with project specifications, international standards (ISO, ASME), and client requirements, ensuring consistent quality across all construction phases.
  • Oversee the inspection and testing of civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation (CMEI) works, including materials, equipment, and installations, to verify compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Manage and mentor a team of QA/QC inspectors, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to maintain a skilled and effective quality control workforce.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of construction activities, subcontractors, and vendors to identify and address non-conformances, ensuring prompt corrective actions.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, test results, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and as-built records, ensuring accurate and accessible data.
  • Review and approve vendor documentation, including material certifications, test procedures, and quality control plans, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Ensure that all calibrated equipment is properly maintained and used for inspection and testing of all equipment and system.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters, interacting with clients, regulatory agencies, and third-party inspectors.
  • Continuously improve QA/QC processes and procedures, implementing lessons learned and industry best practices to enhance overall project quality and efficiency.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent with specialisation in oil and gas.
  • Hold certifications such as CSWIP, ASNT Level II (or equivalent), or relevant industry certifications are highly preferred.
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in QA/QC roles within oil and gas construction projects, specifically process plants (CMEI).
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of international standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASME, API) and relevant industry codes and regulations.
  • Exhibit proficiency in using QA/QC software, inspection tools, and measurement equipment.
  • Be fluent in English (written and spoken) and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Display strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve quality-related issues effectively.
  • Show excellent leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to mentor and motivate a diverse team.
  • Be detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Demonstrate a proactive and results-oriented approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and quality excellence.
