Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
• Interpret construction and technical drawings. • Communicate engineering/technical/quality requirement to team. • Raise Request for Inspection (RFI) and monitor the RFI. • Perform material inspection and ensure that it conforms to the requirements • Acts on the ITP approved for the Project and follow up on the Inspection Requirements. • Knowledge in Welding Process and Welding Consumables • Conduct Welder Qualification Test and prepare Welder Certificates and ID • Monitor weekly/monthly welder performance • Perform Inspection at subcontractors’ facilities and worksites • Check for weld joint preparations, fit-up alignment, dimensional tolerances and visual check on weld. • Conduct visual and dimensional inspection before, during and after welding to ensure • Witness any Testing activities • Prepare NDT request and follow-up with the NDT Company. • Prepare Inspection Reports as per the approved ITP. • Prepare Test Packages and compile inspection documents • Follow-up on corrective action of non-conforming products. • Perform Line Walk inspection. • Witness hydrotest and pneumatic test. • Ensure flange management in the project. • Coordinate for reinstatement inspection • Ensure material handling and clean built in the project
Desired Candidate Profile
Diploma / Degree in any discipline with 5 years working experience in QA/QC • Shall possess CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI .
Shall have a demonstrated background and thorough knowledge of codes such as ASME Section V and IX, API 620 and 650, AWS D1.1, required for the execution of the WORK
Shall have been previously qualified and certified to a minimum ASNT Level II in the relevant method(s). When performing, reviewing, ensuring or auditing Non-destructive Testing in VT, MT, PT, RT or UT.
