Summary

MIRAJ Projects Company FZE is seeking an experienced and highly skilled QA/QC Engineer - Electrical & Instrumentation - to support offshore oil and gas projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing and reviewing engineering tasks, conducting maintenance inspections, developing technical procedures and documentation, and ensuring all activities comply with relevant standards and regulations.

Job Description:

Their roles and responsibilities should include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Cognate experience in performing quality assurance and quality control on electrical, field instrumentation and Telecom installations.

• Good knowledge of HSE programs including safety training, compliance reviews, near miss/incidents investigation and reporting emergency preparedness, safety and communications meeting and process improvement initiatives. Training and experience in confined space entry.

• 10 to 15+ years in oil and Gas facility (Offshore and Onshore) experience.

• Good knowledge of electrical, instrumentation and telecom, commissioning, calibration, with various preventive and predictive maintenance program.

• Good knowledge of electrical commodities like Generators, Motors, Cables, Transformers, Control Panels, MCC’s, Switchgears, Sub Stations, Batteries / UPS, Junction Boxes, Metering Units, Flame Detectors, Fire & Safety Equipment, Cable Trays, Heaters etc.

• Good knowledge of instrument commodities like Instruments, Pressure Gauges, Temperature Gauges, Level Gauges, Pressure Transmitters, Temperature Transmitters, Thermowells, Flow Meters, Level Transmitters, Probes & Sensors, Flow Orifices, DCS, PLC’s, SCADA, etc.

• Good knowledge of telecom commodities like Optical Fibre Cables, CCTV Cameras, Radio Systems, Telecom Cabinets, PAGA systems, Telecom accessories, Loudspeakers, Beacons, Sounders, Fire & Safety equipment, Fire & Safety detectors, Fire & Safety Panels, etc.

• Required Knowledge and application of Standard Engineering codes IEEE, NEC, NEMA,

NFPA & API for tests, procedures, methods, results and reporting for Relays, Cables, Motors,

Transformers, Starters, Drives, Transmitters, Controllers and UPS including Ohmic Test, Insulation Resistance Test, Polarization Index Test

Calibration, Storage and custody for Electrical & Instrument Inspection, Test Equipment and tools.

Capability to interpret electrical drawings, P&ID drawings, Datasheets, Loop drawings, wiring schematics, General arrangement drawings, Cause and Effect diagrams, hazardous area classifications, etc.

Competent in using electrical/instrument tools (HART communicator, Loop Calibrators, Multimeters, Megger meter, etc.)

Knowledge of how to conduct and participate in walkdown’s in preservation and maintenance plants.

Good knowledge in developing standard QA/QC procedure and checklist for instrumentation and telecom scopes.

Good understanding of QA/QC documents including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports, etc.

Good understanding of applicable certifications of construction and standards of materials for establishing QA/QC procedures.

Create and maintain technical dossiers, including completions documentation.

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover activities as needed.

Exhibition of safe work practices and methods to perform tasks in a process facility.

Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Applications.

Experience

Overall, with Minimum 10 to 15+ years of experience in Oil & Gas Facility (Offshore / Onshore) experience.

Good experience of working in UAE, KSA or in Middle East or International market
