Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for
- Planning, directing, and controlling all purchasing activities related to steel, sheet metal, coils, and raw materials required for production.
- The role ensures the availability of materials at the best quality, price, and delivery time, while building strong relationships with reliable suppliers.
- Manage and organize all purchasing activities related to steel, sheet metal, and raw materials.
- Search for new suppliers and deal with existing ones.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions.
- Follow up purchase orders and ensure materials are delivered on time.
- Monitor market prices and changes in the steel and sheet metal industry.
- Reduce purchasing costs while maintaining required quality.
- Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, Planning, and Finance departments.
- Evaluate supplier performance and solve any supply problems.
- Prepare periodic reports for top management regarding purchasing activities.
Desired Candidate Profile
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor s Degree in Commerce or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in the steel or sheet metal industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and supplier management experience.
- Good knowledge of the local steel market.
- Very good English language skills.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
