Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Strategy & Objectives:

  • Define purchasing policies in line with the company's overall strategy.
  • Set and monitor objectives for cost reduction, supplier performance and process optimization.
  • Guarantee the security of strategic supplies for industrial activity.
  • Lead initiatives related to sustainability, regulatory compliance and social responsibility in purchasing.

Organization & Management:

  • Supervise and lead the purchasing team (recruitment, training, assessment and skills development).
  • Develop internal procedures to ensure an efficient and standards-compliant purchasing organization.
  • Identify future needs and contribute to budget planning and investments.

Operational purchasing management:

  • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best conditions in terms of price, quality, deadlines and services.
  • Establish and monitor framework contracts with strategic suppliers.
  • Supervise the end-to-end purchasing process (need for calls for tender, negotiation of contracts, monitoring).
  • Develop lasting partnerships with key suppliers and evaluate their performance.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with production, maintenance, finance and logistics to anticipate needs and optimize flows.
  • be the ambassador of purchasing policies to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure regular communication with senior management on the achievement of objectives and identified risks.

Compliance & Risks:

  • Ensure compliance of purchases with legal, regulatory and tax requirements.
  • Evaluate and prevent risks related to suppliers (financial, quality, supply chain).
  • Contribute to the implementation of quality and certification procedures in the purchasing area.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bac+5 training in Purchasing, Commerce, Engineering or Management.

  • Proven experience (10 years minimum) in purchasing, ideally in the industrial sector.
  • Proven skills in negotiation, contract management and team management.
  • Proficiency in IT and ERP tools (SAP, Oracle or equivalent).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, analytical skills and the ability to work across departments.
  • My fluency in French and professional English.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Cost reduction rate and budget optimization.
  • Compliance with supply deadlines.
  • Supplier performance level (quality, service, compliance).
  • Contractual coverage rate.
  • Satisfaction of internal stakeholders.
