Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities for offshore vessels, including sourcing, negotiation, purchase order creation, and delivery coordination.
  • Collaborate with vessel superintendents, technical teams, and onboard crew to gather purchase requirements and provide technical clarifications.
  • Identify and source reliable marine suppliers and service providers with ARAMCO/Class approvals for equipment, spares, and services.
  • Review requisitions, quotations, and technical specifications to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Negotiate competitive pricing, delivery timelines, and payment terms with vendors.
  • Maintain records of procurement orders, supplier performance, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Ensure all purchases meet budget, quality, and company policy requirements.
  • Keep accurate procurement documentation (invoices, delivery notes, MSDS, test certificates).
  • Monitor inventory levels and support replenishment planning for critical spares.
  • Coordinate with logistics and freight forwarders for documentation, customs clearance, and local transportation.
  • Resolve issues related to quantity discrepancies, damages, or documentation between suppliers, warehouses, and end users.
  • Track annual servicing schedules for key equipment and onboard systems.
  • Ensure timely renewal of statutory and class certificates (lifeboat, firefighting equipment, gas detection systems, etc.).
  • Support audits, reporting, and supplier evaluations.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in marine offshore procurement in Saudi Arabia (Mandatory)
  • Strong knowledge of marine equipment, spare parts, and vendor networks in Saudi Arabia.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
