Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead the planning, initiation, execution, monitoring, and successful closure of major construction projects.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, encompassing scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk management.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, consultants, and contractors, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Direct and motivate cross-functional project teams (including engineers, surveyors, and site staff) to achieve project objectives.
- Implement rigorous cost control measures, track project financials, and ensure profitability targets are met.
- Ensure all projects adhere to the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Manage project procurement and contracts, negotiating favorable terms and managing vendor performance.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Essential Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project management within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sector.
Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in industry-standard software is NON-NEGOTIABLE:
- Project Scheduling: Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project
- Building Information Modeling: BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud
- Document Management: Aconex or similar project management information systems (PMIS)
- Productivity Suite: Advanced MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, contracts (FIDIC), and quality assurance standards.
Leadership & Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, negotiation, client management, and conflict resolution skills. Must be a strategic thinker with impeccable decision-making abilities.
Qualifications: A Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master s degree and professional certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, MRICS) are highly preferred.
Desired Candidate Profile
