Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
KAFOU Energy is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Remote Project Technical Engineer to support our MEP and Retrofit projects team. This role is vital in ensuring timely, accurate, and technically sound support during project development and execution phases. The engineer will collaborate with site teams, design consultants, subcontractors, and procurement to ensure the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions aligned with project goals.
Key Responsibilities
Review and verify design drawings, BOQs, material submittals, and technical documentation.
Prepare and support in shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical documentation in coordination with project team.
Provide remote technical support to the site team on MEP (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing) and retrofit scopes (lighting, solar, BMS).
Support in evaluating vendor and subcontractor technical offers to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Collaborate with procurement to ensure technical alignment of selected materials and equipment.
Assist in reviewing client comments, RFI responses, and follow-up on action items.
Develop technical reports, project updates, and documentation as required.
Participate in project coordination meetings (virtually) and contribute to issue resolution.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and company quality procedures.
Develop and document Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) for commercial and industrial systems.
Requirements
Bachelor s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum 3 years of experience in MEP or retrofit project engineering (preferably with EPC/contracting firms).
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical distribution, lighting retrofits, and solar PV systems.
Familiarity with retrofit energy efficiency measures is a strong advantage.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office (especially Excel), and understanding of Revit/BIM tools is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Committed to deadlines and team collaboration.
Experience working with cross-functional or geographically distributed teams.
The engineer must be available during core business hours (KSA timezone).
All tools and system access (e.g., Zoho, cloud storage, reporting templates) will be provided.
Occasional site visits may be required (Fully Paid By The Company).
