Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the overall execution of High Voltage (HV) / Extra High Voltage (EHV) Substation EPC projects from planning to handover.
  • Ensure project delivery within scope, budget, quality, and safety parameters, aligning with contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate with internal departments — Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, HSE, Civil, Finance, and Logistics — to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules (MS Project / Primavera) and monitor progress against milestones.
  • Manage and supervise site teams, including Project Engineers, Civil Engineers, Supervisors, and subcontractors.
  • Review technical drawings, BOQs, and ensure compliance with international & local electrical standards.
  • Handle client, consultant, and subcontractor communication effectively to resolve site issues promptly.
  • Drive and monitor EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) practices as per company policy.
  • Oversee project cost control, progress reporting, and cash flow management.
  • Conduct regular project review meetings and ensure timely reporting to management.
  • Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation measures proactively.
  • Ensure all project documentation and QA/QC records are maintained accurately.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Civil / Mechanical Engineering.
    (MBA in Project Management or PMP Certification preferred.)
  • Experience: Minimum 7+ years in EPC Power Transmission / Substation projects (HV / EHV).
  • Must have handled Substation construction, testing, and commissioning phases independently.
  • Experience working with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) or similar utility clients preferred.
  • Strong background in Project Planning, Contract Management, and Site Coordination.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with ability to handle multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Good knowledge of QA/QC procedures, HSE standards, and project documentation.
  • Proficient in English (oral & written); Arabic is an added advantage.
  • Should be available for face-to-face interviews in Almaty, Kazakhstan (End of November / Early December).
