Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities


  • Lead and oversee all aspects of complex Oil & gas construction projects, from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, risk management, and procurement strategies, for multi-million dollar ventures.
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams, fostering a collaborative environment and resolving conflicts effectively.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
  • Prepare and present detailed project reports, including progress updates, cost analysis, and variance explanations, to stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and forecast costs, identifying and mitigating potential financial risks.
  • Negotiate and administer contracts with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Proactively identify and resolve project issues, including design conflicts, material shortages, and schedule delays, with innovative solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Champion a culture of safety and environmental responsibility, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and promoting best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile


  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Hold relevant professional certifications, such as PMP, CCM, or equivalent, demonstrating project management expertise.
  • Exhibit a minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in construction project management, with a focus on CMEI projects.
  • Showcase proficiency in project management software, such as Procore, Primavera P6, or similar platforms.
  • Possess exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality, and environmental sustainability in construction practices.
  • Be fluent in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
  • Exemplify a proactive, results-oriented approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
