Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • To provide system engineering and design support services to Project Managers to ensure the timely delivery of all projects within the stipulated timeframe, quality and budget requirements.
  • To provide system design & engineering support through the preparation of system documentation & drawings, maintenance procedures etc.
  • Responsible for the on site supervision and implementation of the construction of an electronic security system
  • Under the direction of the assigned Project manager, be responsible for the effective delivery of Electronic Security Systems Projects, including resources, scheduling, procurement, and implementation of complete systems.
  • Carry out security surveys and audits of premises and systems, identify and quantify shortcomings, make recommendations etc.
  • Provide written reports, test procedures etc, conduct field testing and commissioning of complete systems.
  • In conjunction with the relevant Line Managers, ensure ESS deliverables for each project are clearly defined and understood, and within required contractual timelines.
  • To carry out the design and implementation of security designs, in accordance with relevant statutes and codes and to do so in accordance with industry best practice and the Company Quality Assurance Systems and HSE Systems.
  • To maintain at all times client confidentiality and act with discretion and a high level of personal integrity.
  • To support Electronic Security Systems in any other tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be expected. Ensuring that the correct permits (i.e. permit to dig) are in place prior to work commencing
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with the Project Director and Manager to anticipate needs and advise as required
  • Develop, execute and maintain environmental safety plans as required.
  • To deliver effective commissioning of systems to quality requirements and support in handover to maintenance team

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Comprehensive knowledge of low current systems including Access Control, CCTV, Fire Alarm,
  • Intercom, Gate barriers, Intruder Alarm, Network configuration etc.
  • Demonstrate experience in the system design and implementation of security solutions and techniques in a Commercial, Military or Law Enforcement Role.
  • Willingness and ability to work flexibly and diligently as befits an important role within a fast growing division.
