Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the project's cost management plan, ensuring alignment with project goals and contractual obligations.
  • Establish and monitor the project's cost baseline, tracking all approved changes and their impact on the overall budget.
  • Perform detailed cost analysis, identifying trends, variances, and potential risks that could affect project profitability.
  • Prepare accurate and timely cost reports, providing insights into project performance and forecasting future costs.
  • Manage and control project expenditures, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and vendor management.
  • Conduct regular cost forecasting, predicting future costs and potential overruns to enable proactive corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective cost control and communication.
  • Implement and utilize cost control software and tools, such as Oracle Primavera P6, to optimize project financial management.
  • Evaluate and analyze change orders, assessing their cost impact and negotiating with contractors to minimize financial risks.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry best practices related to cost management.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of experience in project cost control within the construction or engineering industry.
  • Exhibits proven experience in projects in Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, or Energy sectors.
  • Demonstrates strong proficiency in cost control software, including Oracle Primavera P6 and other relevant tools.
  • Displays excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve cost-related issues.
  • Possesses exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Exhibits a proactive and results-oriented approach, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal; additional language skills are a plus.
