Roles & Responsibilities
The Production Engineer holds a pivotal role within the Production Team, overseeing all tasks from Order to Execution initiation. A sharp eye for detail and deep technical understanding of facility products is imperative. Proficiently crafting and upkeeping Route Sheets is vital, matched only by comprehending the entire job sequence. Collaborating with Engineering to construct accurate Bills of Materials for efficient Stores Issuance or providing essential data to Planning Engineers for Purchase Requests is essential. Thorough grasp of job-related Specifications is of paramount significance.
Job Responsibilities
- Review all Customer and Job Specifications, Purchase Orders, MTC s, Materials, Welding, Paint and other Specifications for the preparation of the Route Sheets
- Generate Details for Purchase Requests and send to Planning Engineer for PR Raising to cover materials, tools, 3rd Party Inspections, etc
- Provide Quality Team with RT Test timings for their coordination with suppliers
- Generate and maintain Bill of Materials for jobs to ensure Stock Requisition Lists are provided at the same time as the Route Sheet Generation
- Request items from stores using the iFlight
- Ensure clear and proper communication with Planning Engineers, Workshop Coordinator, Quality Teams and 3rd Party Companies providing Review of Projects
- Support Workshop coordinator in providing PMR Updates to Planning Engineers
- Work with Planning Engineers to build proper project timelines to ensure correct timing of parts and tools throughout the project
- Support CSR Group for Technical Clarification with Clients for jobs both starting and ongoing
- Provide Line Management to Charge Hands and Workshop Coordinator, processing of Holidays, Sick Leave, etc etc.
- All other duties as assigned
- Must have ability to handle technical data from multiple sources.
- Good understanding of planning and logistic methodologies.
- Good communication skills in English language, both verbal and written.
- Computer Skills (Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook).
- Product knowledge e.g. API Manufacture and repair, Roteq, Oil & Gas and general industrial equipment repair
- Production Controller or similar Experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
- Minimum requires Diploma in Engineering, Degree in Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
- Light physical effort or significant manual dexterity.
- Primary functions require sufficient physical ability to work in an office setting and operate office equipment.
- Sitting for prolonged period of time.
