Roles & Responsibilities

What You ll Do

  • - Strategic Leadership in Environmental Economics: Develop and direct the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and work standards for the EEE, with a strong focus on advancing the field of environmental economics and its integration with energy economics. /li> <
  • - Research Excellence in Environmental Economics: Initiate, lead, and expand high-impact research initiatives that address the economic dimensions of environmental challenges, including resource valuation, policy analysis, and sustainable management. /li> <
  • - Project Proposal Development & Implementation: Identify relevant projects, develop and submit competitive research and development proposals, and oversee their successful implementation. /li> <
  • - External Funding: Proactively seek and secure external funding from international, national, and private agencies to support program growth and sustainability. /li> <
  • - Program Development: Design, evaluate, and enhance academic and research programs to address current and emerging challenges in environmental and energy economics. /li> <
  • - Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong partnerships with industry, government, NGOs, and international organizations to maximize the program s relevance and societal impact. /li> <
  • - Team Management: Recruit, mentor, and supervise faculty, researchers, and administrative staff; promote a culture of excellence, diversity, and continuous professional development. /li> <
  • - Operational Oversight: Oversee program operations, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and sustainability. /li> <
  • - Visibility and Advocacy: Ensure maximum visibility for the program both internally (within UOB) and externally, representing the program at national and international forums. /li> <

Preferred Qualifications

  • - Experience in renewable energy economics, climate policy, or sustainable development. /li> <
  • - Track record of successful proposal writing and implementation of externally funded projects. /li> <
  • - Experience in public outreach, science communication, and/or advocacy. /li> <
