Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end production operations for perfumes, personal care, and cosmetics.

  • Prepare and execute stage-wise and machine-wise production schedules in coordination with operations leadership.

  • Ensure timely availability of raw materials (RM) and packaging materials (PM) as per production plan.

  • Monitor production schedules, safety, quality, and cost goals while driving efficiency improvements.

  • Conduct production planning, control, and supervision of teams including permanent and contract workers.

  • Oversee daily/weekly production targets, generate GAP reports, and implement corrective measures.

  • Maintain product quality by conducting inspections, monitoring standards, and analyzing QC data.

  • Implement safety and statutory compliance, ISO standards, and GMP guidelines across operations.

  • Conduct failure analysis, suggest process improvements, and optimize resource utilization.

  • Prepare monthly reports on KPIs such as overtime, backorders, scrap, on-time delivery, sales per hours worked, and inventory turns.

  • Manage large-scale teams (300–500+ employees), ensuring motivation, performance, and productivity.

  • Coordinate with QA, QC, Production, Purchase, and Stores for smooth execution of production plans.

  • Collaborate with sales, procurement, and logistics teams to align production with company goals.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in efficiency, waste reduction, and cost optimization.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Industrial / Mechanical Engineering preferred.

  • 12+ years of experience in production management, with 5+ years as Production Manager in personal care or cosmetics manufacturing.

  • Strong background in large-scale mass production, including planning, inventory control, shop floor supervision, quality control, and factory administration.

  • Proven ability to independently manage a production unit with 300+ workforce, preferably handling 500+ employees.

  • Expertise in GMP/ISO compliance, documentation, and production line efficiency improvements. Strong leadership, project management, and team-building skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams.

  • Analytical thinker with decision-making ability under pressure.

  • Familiarity with modern manufacturing technologies, industry regulations, and compliance frameworks.

  • Not more than 45 years of age (preferred).
