Production Engineer Altea Energy

Key Objectives

• Ensure the achievement of the HBR Production operation of the field is in accordance with the planned forecast.
• Ensure regular monitoring of the Production operation of the facilities and the execution of the works.
• Prepare daily Oil and Gas production report.
• Monitoring the production wells performance and proposing improvement solutions.
• Carry out the well intervention when required and coordinate with well service supervisors.
• Contribute to study for the HBR facilities performance improvement.
• Facilitate communication, coordination with multi-discipline of HBR organization.
• Facilitate communication, coordination with SONATRACH Rhourde El Baguel (REB).
• Ensure good planning and scheduling of works.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety rules.

Principal Accountabilities

Technical Accountability/Contribution

• Daily monitoring all Production data from HBR facilities and HBR Production System, inform the Head of Well Measure and Control of the least anomaly.
• Production System e.g. Slug catcher flow meter calibration
• Witness Crude oil loading / unloading operation at SONATRACH REB
• Prepare the daily well parameter and total production report for approval by the Head of Well Measure and Control
• Prepare reports and presentations on a weekly basis.
• Responsible for the daily program of well testing and prepare the well tests report for validation by the Head of Well Measure and Control
• Monitor and discover constraints of subsurface equipment and surface facilities equipment to coordinate with Subsurface and Well Technique and Intervention department for rectification and improvement.
• Control and optimize the injection of chemicals from wells and satellites to ensure a correct dosage rate and notify the service concerned by the establishment of a request for intervention.
• Prepare and control the daily sampling program for wells and gathering system.
• Prepare and follow the scraping program for wells and gathering system.
• Coordinate and monitor surface equipment operating with the maintenance department.
• Coordinate with maintenance department for planned emergency shutdown test for well site and gathering system.
• Support Head of Well Measure and Control to prepare the planned budget for Exploitation & Production and Well services operation.
• Ensure all latest updated technical documentation is available onsite and/or via online, e.g. key drawing, Operation and Maintenance manuals and technical journals.
• Keeps up-to-date technical documentation for production optimization or production enhancement activities.

Supervisory Roles

• To train, develop and mentor all Well Measure and Control operators and Control Room Operator to improve job competency.
• Cultivate ownership of equipment and tools to ensure availability and reliability.
• Good planning and problem-solving skills.

• Keep abreast of relevant latest technology development to be considered for possible implementation at workplace.

Key Authorities

• Responsible for Production reporting system and production report for either Internal or External.
• Acting Head of Well Measure and Control, per the EP Manager's appointment.
• Acting as HBR Representative at SONATRACH Rhourde El Baguel (REB), per the EP Manager's appointment.

Safety Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Production Engineer are:

• Comply with SSHE rules and regulations.
• Undertake safety Operating envelop of plant, equipment, machinery, and process.
• Ensure that any changes or minor modification to any plant, equipment or machinery are via Engineering Work request Procedure and that all documentation is completed.
• Work towards achieving the MOC Health and Safety Objectives.
• Ensure a complete in the Permit to work System application on both HBR and REB.
• Report all accident, incidents, near-misses and dangerous occurrences to Head of Well Measure and Control immediately.
• Support EP Manager and Head of Well Measure and Control during emergency response
• Respect and enforce the safety instructions.
• Good use of the means available when carrying out the work
• Provide employees with the necessary means to carry out the work safely.
• Participate in risk analysis.
• Participated in SSHE training.
• Participate in incident accident investigations.
• Apply the operating procedures.

Working Relathionship

• Head of Well Measure and Control and his subordinates in Exploitation & Production service
• Head of maintenance and his subordinates in Maintenance service
• SSHE Managers and his subordinates in SSHE department
• SONATRACH Rhourde El Baguel (REB) Operation and maintenance department
• Related Support function at HMD base.

Qualifications And Experience

• Master s degree or Bachelor s Degree qualification in Petroleum Science, Engineering (Production of Hydrocarbons) or relevant technical experience
• Minimum of 6 years experience in Hydrocarbon production industry environment in a Production and Well engineering management
• Broad knowledge and competent in oil and gas production facilities and processing
• Experience working in the Dessert environment, preferably Algeria.
• Good interpersonal and skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English and French
• Knowledge of Microsoft office software application e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Project etc.
• Knowledge of Production of Hydrocarbons simulation applications
• Physical and / or intellectual effort
• Preparing services scope of work and material requisition specifications.
