Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Roadmap

Define product vision, OKRs, and quarterly roadmap aligned with business goals.

Prioritize backlog using data (impact/effort, RICE) and regulatory constraints.

Discovery & Requirements

Run discovery (user interviews, competitor scans, journey mapping).

Write crisp PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria with edge cases.

Partner with Design for wireframes/flows; validate with prototypes.

Delivery & Execution

Lead Agile ceremonies (refinement, planning, reviews); maintain healthy backlog.

Unblock engineering, clarify scope, and make trade-offs fast (time/scope/quality).

Define Definition of Ready/Done and sign off releases.

Compliance & Risk

Work with Legal/Compliance/SecOps on PCI-DSS, KYC/AML, data privacy.

Ensure auditability (logs, approvals, data retention) and incident playbooks.

Integrations

Own payment gateway and banking integrations (cards, APMs, payouts).

Specify webhooks, idempotency, retry policies, reconciliation needs.

Data & Quality

Instrument analytics events; monitor KPIs and funnels (drop-offs, auth fails).

Drive experiments (A/B) and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Management

Align Commercial, Ops, Support; prepare GTM plans and training content.

Communicate status/risks via concise updates and dashboards.

Desired Candidate Profile

Must-Have Skills

2 4 years as PO/BA in FinTech/payments (collections, subscriptions, or wallet/ledger).

Strong requirements writing (PRD/BRD), user stories, and UAT planning.

Deep understanding of: payment flows (auth/capture/refund/chargeback), tokenization, 3-D Secure, webhooks, idempotency, reconciliation/settlement.

Comfortable with API specs (REST/GraphQL, OpenAPI), sequence diagrams, and error taxonomies.

Data-driven: funnels, cohort analysis, SQL basics (for self-serve checks).

Excellent communication (Arabic & English), prioritization, and stakeholder handling.

Nice to Have

Experience with risk & fraud tools (velocity checks, device fingerprinting).

Ledger/wallet concepts (double-entry, balances, holds).

Experience in one or more markets (MENA rails, local APMs).

Certifications: PSPO/CSPO, Lean Analytics, or payments certifications.
