Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain design systems, UI libraries, component libraries and design guidelines to ensure consistency and scalability of the experiences.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, Data/Analytics, Growth & Marketing to identify opportunities, align on roadmaps, define features and design user flows / interactions.
  • Drive user-centric design: conduct user research, usability testing, gather insights and translate them into design decisions and measurable outcomes.
  • Deliver wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity UI designs; iterate based on feedback, data and testing insights.
  • Monitor product metrics related to UX and design (conversion, retention, engagement, usability) and drive continuous improvement.
  • Solid knowledge of principles of design.
  • Knowledge of design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other similar.
  • 7+ years of experience in product design (UX/UI).
  • At least 2 + years in a leadership role (mentoring designers, shaping design team culture, owning design strategy).

Desired Candidate Profile

The Product Design Lead is responsible for defining and driving Gathern s overall product design vision and strategy across all digital platforms. This role ensures that every interaction from mobile app to web delivers a seamless, intuitive, and delightful experience for users (both hosts and guests).
