About this Role
We are seeking a strategic and technically adept individual to lead the design and performance standards across a diverse portfolio of data products. This role is pivotal in ensuring consistency, high performance, and user-centric innovation across transformation programmes within the Data and Analytics domain. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed design principles, drive quality assurance, and future-proof data products to enhance adoption and business value.
What you will do
- Define and evolve product design and performance principles across Group Data and Analytics programmes.
- Drive compliance with design standards across product delivery teams, establishing controls and governance.
- Lead quality assurance processes to maintain high product standards.
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
- Champion innovation and identify opportunities to enhance product relevance and user experience.
- Oversee team performance and support professional development.
- Ensure robust documentation, training materials, and technical collateral are in place to support adoption.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience in data analytics, including data science, visualisation, and data management.
- Skilled in handling large, multi-dimensional datasets using tools such as Oracle SQL, SQL Server, BigQuery.
- Experienced in agile methodologies and product lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of data product design and end-user experience.
- Proficient in software development and systems integration.
- Familiar with Google Cloud Platform or AWS full stack development.
- Hands-on experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, SAC).
- Knowledge of Alteryx, Office365 (PowerAutomate, PowerApps), Python, HTML, CSS.
- Effective communicator with strong business acumen and relationship-building skills.
- Able to influence cross-functional teams and advocate for product excellence.
