Roles & Responsibilities

Job Specification:

The Procurement Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating procurement activities across all divisions and head office departments. The role covers negotiating and finalizing supplier agreements, reviewing division purchases, handling HO procurement needs, unifying stock codes across the Group, supporting import and customs-related matters, and managing the disposal of surplus assets. The position requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to drive cost savings while ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Division Purchases

• Review purchase requests from all divisions and identify items requiring further negotiation.

• Negotiate with suppliers to secure better deals and terms for HHG.

• Sign and implement purchase agreements that can be applied across all HHG divisions.

• Provide guidance to divisions on procurement-related issues and import compliance.

2. Head Office (HO) Purchases

• Handle procurement requirements for HO departments, including Finance, HR, IT, Audit, and Safety.

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of HO purchase orders in line with company procedures.

3. Procurement Policies & Standardization

• Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures in accordance with best practices.

• Lead the standardization of procurement policies and processes across all HHG divisions to ensure consistency and efficiency.

• Lead the unification and standardization of stock/part number codes across the Group to simplify ordering, tracking, and inventory management.

4. Supplier & Contract Management

• Manage and negotiate supplier, service-level, and long-term supply contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms.

• Develop and maintain long-term supplier relationships while ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

• Ensure procurement practices uphold the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and transparency.

5. Procurement Performance & Systems

• Develop systems to track, measure, and report on purchasing performance, including setting specific targets and KPIs.

• Prepare regular reports on procurement savings, supplier performance, and asset disposals for management review.

• Utilize ERP systems and procurement software effectively to manage the procurement cycle.

6. Import & Asset Disposal

• Oversee the proper treatment of customs duties and warehouse/stock/inventory code registration for imported items.

• Manage the disposal process for surplus and obsolete assets (e.g., vehicles, furniture, IT equipment), ensuring transparency and compliance with company procedures.

• Negotiate with buyers to secure the best possible return value for disposed assets.


Qualifications and Education Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

· 7–10 years of procurement experience in similar industries and roles.

· Solid understanding of procurement processes, vendor negotiations, and contract management and labor outsourcing, and asset disposal.

· Experience in customs duties treatment, import procedures, and warehouse code registration.

· Working knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office.

· Experience in bulk purchasing and service contracts is preferred.
