Procurement Engineer MEP

Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to support the procurement process for materials, equipment, and subcontracted services related to MEP and main contracting projects. The role requires strong technical understanding, negotiation skills, and coordination with engineering, project, site, and supplier teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant purchasing according to project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review material requisitions with project and engineering teams
• Source and evaluate suppliers, materials, and subcontractors as per projectspecifications
• Obtain and compare quotations, prepare comparative statements, andrecommend cost-effective options
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors
• Prepare purchase orders in line with company policies and contractrequirements
• Coordinate with logistics and site teams to track deliveries and resolveprocurement issues
• Maintain supplier databases, procurement logs, and material tracking reports
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and accounts for invoiceverification and payment processing
• Support vendor prequalification and material submittal procedures
• Ensure procurement activities comply with project specifications, standards,and local regulations
