Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Procurement Planning & Sourcing
- Review project BOQs, material specifications, and drawings to identify procurement requirements.
- Source reliable suppliers and subcontractors for materials, equipment, and services.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations to ensure competitiveness and compliance.
Negotiation & Vendor Management
- Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and payment conditions with suppliers.
- Develop and maintain a database of approved vendors.
- Monitor vendor performance in terms of quality, delivery, and service.
Purchase & Contract Management
- Prepare purchase orders (POs), subcontract agreements, and service orders.
- Ensure timely procurement of long-lead items to avoid project delays.
- Track order status and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
Coordination & Documentation
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and finance for approvals.
- Maintain proper documentation of procurement activities in line with company procedures.
- Support in preparing procurement status reports, cost comparison sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all procured items meet project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
- Adhere to company procurement policies and ethical standards.
- Ensure compliance with UAE import/export regulations, customs, and logistics requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Civil / Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement within the construction industry (UAE/GCC experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and market trends.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / MS Dynamics preferred).
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure.
