Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support the general manager.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for civil materials and services to support project requirements in Abu Dhabi.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to quality and compliance standards.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to achieve optimal value.
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely supply to meet project schedules.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to forecast material needs and align procurement with project timelines.
  • Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and material costs to optimize procurement processes.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for management review.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company information.
  • Perform another related task.
  • Source and procure technical components, equipment, and services, ensuring alignment with engineering specifications and project timelines.
  • Negotiate favorable pricing and contract terms with suppliers, optimizing cost-effectiveness and value for the organization.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, specifically within the engineering or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of technical specifications, engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Ariba).
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) is required.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and procurement regulations.
