Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Supplier Management Source and manage suppliers for supermarket and trading products Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules Prepare and process purchase orders based on approved requirements Monitor supplier performance and recommend improvements or alternatives Control procurement costs and support margin optimization 2. Supermarket & Store Operations Oversee receiving, inspection, storage, and issuance of goods Maintain proper stock arrangement, labeling, FIFO / FEFO compliance Monitor fast-moving, slow-moving, and near-expiry products Ensure supermarket shelves are adequately stocked and presentable Coordinate with sales/front-line staff for daily product availability 3. Inventory Control & Stock Accuracy Maintain accurate inventory records (in/out/closing balance) Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels to avoid shortages or overstock Support stock valuation and audit requirements 4. Market Research & Pricing Analysis Conduct regular market research on competitor pricing (Dragon Mart & nearby markets) Analyze cost structures, margins, and selling prices Recommend selling prices, promotions, and price adjustments to management Track product performance and recommend adding or delisting items 5. Reporting & Management Support Prepare procurement, inventory, and pricing reports for GM and Owner Coordinate with Accounts Officer for invoice verification and cost control Work with Legal Officer on supplier documentation and compliance matters Ensure all processes follow company policies and internal controls
Desired Candidate Profile
~Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Retail Management, or related field ~2–4 years experience in procurement, store keeping, or supermarket operations ~Experience in FMCG / supermarket / trading environment preferred ~Strong understanding of pricing, margins, and stock control ~Proficient in MS Excel (stock tracking, price comparison, reporting) ~Familiar with UAE suppliers and Dragon Mart market is a strong advantage ~Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage) Able to work independently in a lean team structure
