Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead process safety assessments, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices to minimize risks.
- Develop and implement process safety management systems, incorporating lessons learned from past incidents to enhance safety culture.
- Conduct hazard identification and risk analysis, facilitating workshops and creating detailed reports to inform decision-making.
- Design and oversee safety training programs for engineering and operational staff, fostering a proactive safety mindset across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and improve existing processes, focusing on reducing potential safety hazards.
- Perform incident investigations and root cause analyses, recommending corrective actions and preventive measures to avert recurrence.
- Engage with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders, ensuring ongoing compliance and promoting the company’s safety initiatives.
- Utilize advanced modeling and simulation techniques to predict potential safety issues, providing data-driven recommendations for design improvements.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating innovative practices into the organization's process safety framework.
- Prepare and present detailed safety reports and recommendations to senior management, influencing strategic decisions with data-backed insights.
· Experience of leading engineering work in mega size FEED - EPC projects.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Safety, or a related field, with an advanced degree preferred for enhanced expertise.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in oil and gas, petrochemicals, or chemical manufacturing sectors.
- Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) are highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of international safety standards, including OSHA, EPA, and ISO 45001, demonstrating regulatory compliance expertise.
- Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are a plus for multinational collaboration.
- Proven leadership ability, with strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage and influence diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, with a knack for dissecting complex problems and developing actionable safety solutions.
- Proficient in process safety tools and software, including HAZOP, LOPA, and risk assessment modeling applications.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and proactive safety measures in all processes.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments, exhibiting resilience and decisiveness when addressing safety challenges.
