Roles & Responsibilities

Parsons is seeking a talented Process Engineer Water Transmission & Distribution Systems to join our team. In this role, you will support the review and validation of process designs to ensure technical accuracy and compliance. You will contribute to system performance, safety, and regulatory alignment, while also assisting with process optimization, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • This role is part of the Program Management Consultancy (PMC) team overseeing the Liwa Water Transmission and Distribution Project. The Process Engineer is responsible for supporting the PMC Team.

  • The qualified candidate will work effectively on water transmission & distribution systems engineering capital project teams, as well as other project related cross-functional teams with representatives from divisions throughout the organization.

  • Review process designs submitted by Contractors for technical accuracy and compliance.

  • Ensure process systems meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.

  • Participate in process optimization and troubleshooting during construction and commissioning.

  • Assist in the development of commissioning and start-up procedures.

  • Coordinate with Package Managers and Supervision Consultants to ensure integration of process design with overall works.

  • Provide technical recommendations and clarifications on process-related issues.

  • Support the resolution of process-related non-conformances and technical queries

  • Assist in reviewing method statements and process testing procedures.

  • Monitor delivery contractor adherence to process design specifications during installation and commissioning.

  • Contribute to process risk assessments and HAZOP reviews where applicable.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor s degree in relevant Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, etc.) from a recognized institution

  • Minimum (5) years of relevant experience in process engineering within EPC Projects (preferably in Infrastructure, Water Transmission & Distribution Systems and Pumping Stations), including minimum (2) years in GCC Region (preferred).

  • Proficiency in process simulation software, e.g., Aspen HYSYS.

  • Understanding of design codes (e.g., API, ASME, AWWA)

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple technical inputs.
