Roles & Responsibilities

A distinguished private local household in the UAE is seeking for a Private Teacher. The Teacher will support the education, progress and well-being of the child, while maintaining a nurturing and safe environment. The child attends a non-traditional, project-based school, and we are looking for a dedicated professional to complement her formal education.


  • The ideal candidate will be a passionate educator who can build upon the child's natural curiosity.
  • The role is not just to supervise, but to actively engage her, further her knowledge journey, and help her explore the world through creative, academic, and hands-on activities during her after-school and weekend hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a bespoke after-school and weekend program that is engaging, fun, and academically enriching, supporting and expanding upon her school's curriculum.
  • Responsible for all school-related transport, including safe and punctual pick-ups and drop-offs from school and various extra-curricular activities.
  • Creatively plan and execute a structured weekend schedule that includes educational outings, cultural experiences, creative projects, and play.
  • Act as a positive role model, fostering a love of learning, critical thinking, and confidence.
  • Liaise with the family (and potentially the school, when required) to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment for our daughter.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrable experience working as a qualified teacher, home-school educator, or a governess in a similar private role.
  • Must have experience working with children in Grade 3 (or equivalent, approx. 8 years old) and higher.
  • Flexibility with working hours, especially in a live-in role.
  • Knowledge of child development and first aid.
  • Kind, patient, and reliable with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Formal childcare training and education degree is preferred
